Karta Coach (kartacoach.com) is an interview preparation platform helping people of Polish descent prepare for the Karta Polaka interview. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Karta Coach and its operators.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following information when you use Karta Coach:

• Account data: name, email address, and authentication provider (email/password, Google, or Facebook)
• Profile data: Polish language level, interview target date, confidence level — provided by you during onboarding
• Usage data: practice session answers, scores, and activity timestamps
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information (collected automatically)

3. How we use your data

• To provide and personalise your practice experience
• To track your progress and display your dashboard
• To score your interview answers using AI
• To send important account and service updates (no marketing without consent)
• To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns

4. Authentication

Authentication is handled by Clerk (clerk.com). When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive only your name and email address — we do not receive access to your social media accounts, posts, contacts, or any other data.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and session management
• OpenAI — AI-powered answer scoring (your answers are sent to OpenAI for evaluation)
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• PostHog — anonymised product analytics
• Stripe — payment processing (we do not store card details)

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

6. Data retention & deletion

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are used to understand how the platform is used — these are anonymised and do not identify you personally.

9. Children's privacy

Karta Coach is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
